After a short breakfast we dressed ready for church. There we met Ben and his boys and were talking (in german) during the whole service - sorry. It seemed, Ben was quite happy to practice his german. We also met Annette and other nice people like J.R. (a Sioux indian) and his wife (a mexican) with their girls. They invited us to come over for dinner that day. After church Maureen came over to Pat and we talked about the many trips they have planned for us. We were just speechless - they had planned a lot of trips that each last several days up to Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. We really couldn't believe it. We hoped we would see Yellowstone, but what we should get to see thanks Maureen, Dan and Pat was just marvelous! We hardly couldn't wait for the next day we should start with the first trip. But first we were invited by J.R. the Sioux and his wife, the Mexican (unfortunately I forgot her name) for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. We were really lucky to meet these people, they were so nice. After dinner we talked so much also about the indian history and Pat mentioned we would have a trip to Custer's Last Battlefield in Montana. J.R. than presented us a video "Into the West" to take home to Germany. Thank you so much, J.R. we loved that video and we were able to get another view on the indian history.
That night especially I, Heike, couldn't sleep well, I was just too excited to go on the first trip next day.
